Upgrading X-Plane
to 8.40+:
Before or after installation
of the T-33 package, and before running X-Plane you must ensure that
you have X-Plane 8.40 or greater installed on your PC. The T-33 will not run otherwise.
If you don’t you can get the latest X-Plane update online here:
http://www.x-plane.com/demo.html
Download the installer for
windows and then run the installer to update X-Plane. Make sure
you specify the path where you installed X-Plane on your PC.
Installation:
NOTE: Please follow
Installation Instructions Exactly as shown in the pop-windows.
To install the software,
simply insert the CD into your drive and the setup program should start
automatically within 30 seconds. If it doesn’t start,
double-click on “setup.exe” on the CD. The installation
program will copy the instructions for the jet to your desktop.
The T-33 aircraft will be installed to your “X-System
8.xx/aircraft/Classic Jet Simulations/” folder.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
When asked for the installation directory, make sure you select the
directory in which you have X-Plane installed (eg. C:\X-Plane
8.40\).
If you don't select this directory the plane and components will get
installed incorrectly and will not run.
Registration:
Once the software is installed
you must register it to activate it as follows:
1. Run X-Plane, open the T-33
aircraft (found in the “X-System 8.xx/aircraft/Classic
Jet Simulations/” folder) and from the “Plugins”
menu in X-Plane, select the "T33 Systems - Registration" menu. This
menu will display the serial number for your product.
2. Send an e-mail to this e-mail address with this serial number.
3. You will receive an e-mail
with a license file. Put this into your X-System directory.
4. Re-start X-Plane. From the
Registration menu, it should now show that you are running a registered
version. You can run any number of T-33 variations on a single machine
with this license.
Support
and Feedback:
I will offer as much support
as I can to assist with any problem that you may encounter or if you
simply have questions about flying the jet. Feedback is of course
welcome as well as suggestions for improvement. Updates are of
course free for X-Plane 8.xx to 9.xx inclusive. Requests for
custom cockpits to match your specific jet are also welcome. I
will provide these for a reasonable cost.
